I am so grateful for how busy I have been lately! But along with the busy, has to come my apologies for the length of time it has taken me to turn some images around. Thankfully, Chelsea is an easy going gal! And considering how stunning the images turned out, I hope they were worth her wait.
Chelsea's white-blonde hair and stunning eyes were a great focus for our photo shoot. Her family was fun, and easy to get along with. Chelsea was versatile and ready to accomplish her four looks with ease. Most of our looks were shot in the studio, although it was just warm enough to capture...

With Kim's motley experiences in entertainment, she was no stranger to the spotlight. Kim is a professional, and an entertainer at heart, which made photographing her portfolio a breeze! It was a full staff at the studio with Latesha Lipscomb (I Got Face Cosmetics Concierge) working hair and make-up and Dan Parker (DPark Fashion) as our wardrobe stylist.
I am often working with new models, and because of that am typically working solo. I have to say that the buzz and energy of a fully staffed studio is far more exciting, enjoyable, and sure does make my job easier! I definitely encourage...

The photo shoot with new Matthew Agency model Breann was easy enough with a laid back model, great weather, and a conveniently available mound of balloons. But it wasn't until I began retouching her images today that I truly realized how easy shooting Breann ultimately turned out to be!
Of course, I'm speaking of her flawless complexion! Barely a blemish in sight, and hardly any work for me to do in post production. Even the most brilliant of models will need a little touch-up when zoomed in to 100%, but here, it was barely necessary. With all things considered, I am very proud to introduce...

One of the most stunning attributes of Ondrea are her piercing blue eyes. During our photo shoot, her bright eyes and her bright personality shone in every frame I took. She has an infectious smile, one we could hardly suppress from click to click of the camera. Naturally, this made our shoot a pleasure!
We kept things pretty simple. Most of our photo shoot took place right here in the studio (in downtown Grand Rapids). Styling and hair/make-up were natural. Of course we had to shake things up a little for our final look, a little more drama and an abandoned warehouse near by finished...

I've worked with Jeremiah on a couple of shoots so far. His calm demeanor makes him very easy to work with, so I was very happy when he came to me to shoot his portfolio. If I remember correctly, the weather was perfect for a photo shoot. We captured a few studio shots and then headed out to some great locations around downtown Grand Rapids.
The goal, of course, of a portfolio shoot is to create multiple looks. The studio, the structured cement of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and the over-grown weeds of an abandoned factory provided our back drops. That's the easy part about photo...

I've worked with Anthony a number of times. He is a model living in Ohio and we try to work together every time I visit my family living there. We have a tradition of hunting down a random location, with no planning or forethought. It has worked extremely well for us in the past, and we've had amazing luck with some phenomenal locations. Our impromptu photo shoot on this particular day, however, faced a little complication.
To begin, we were under a bit of a time crunch, as I was pushing to get back to my Aunt's surprise birthday party, and we just weren't having any luck with a location. ...

Brianna has been in front of my lens before, and so it was no surprise that she was confident and ready to shoot! Of course, from what I know of her already in our experience together at the Matthew Agency, she is a confident individual regardless. She was strong and happy in front of the camera. Our photo shoot was a breeze, and we flew through looks.
We were able to capture a solid variety of images, which is the goal of any portfolio shoot. It helped that Brianna had a solid idea of the looks she wanted to achieve. We laughed a lot, got to enjoy one of the last warm days of the year,...

This is not Julie's first time in front of a camera. Modeling was a fond memory for her, until she decided to give it another go after her recent visit to the Matthew Agency. And now, it's time for some new memories as a Matthew Agency model.
Julie has a great commercial look, friendly and warm. Her smile lights up the room, and she was more than a pleasure to photograph. Our photo shoot had been delayed, which was VERY much my fault, and yet she was so kind and accommodating. Getting back into something like modeling after many years away is not at ALL like riding a bike. Shaking...

Alek is young... younger than his looks portray. He is slightly reserved, but already exudes a natural force and strength in his presence. Our photo shoot was his first. He was quiet and controlled, both in front of the lens and between set-ups, but was extremely easy to work with because of it. I'm excited to see what is to come from him. As his confidence grows as a model, I believe he will mature into the looks he's already been gifted... and then he will be a force to be reckoned with!

Here is another great new addition to the Matthew Agency family of models, Marcel. From what I gathered of him, Marcel is a calm man of few words, but a killer gaze. My guess, from that devilish glint in his eye, is that he probably has a bit of a mischievous side, but that's only a guess. He came in with some ideas of specific things he wanted to try, and was definitely not shy in front of the camera. He knew how to work various angles, and kept the shoot interesting by constantly changing things up. I love when a model has the confidence to lead himself without relying completely on the photographer...
